Kennett Square is proud to have two top-rated school districts, Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD) and Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD), with passionate teachers and leaders who work hard to provide a high-quality education to students. The strong preschool programs set the foundation for children to excel in one of the seven public elementary schools. Middle school students can participate in the "After the Bell" program which offers over 40 activities to choose from, including homework help from teachers and retired educators, making it a top-rated program. The Kennett Education Foundation also rewards the achievements of hard-working students.

Kennett Square and Unionville also have a strong sports culture, with many athletes who grew up playing sports in rec or travel clubs, so when the teams clash in high school, it's a must-attend event. Dance education has been prevalent for four decades and in addition to reputable gymnastics and martial arts programs. Horseback riding is also a popular activity in Kennett Square, which is surrounded by horse country and home to one of the busiest large animal teaching veterinary clinics in the nation located on 700 acres of rolling hills.
